Since my phone get a green line, I have discovered I have never backed my data up.
So in a hurry I start doing it. However, MTP protocol was unreliable, so I have a weired error when copying the folder in the middle.
I searched and asked AI, it suggests me to use a tool to map MTP to a drive, but that tool has paywall and didn’t even work.
Also, I breaked my Google Drive in this process, and I have to reinstall it.
The solution
I just compress the folder I want to backup in the Phone using ZArchiver, the copy it to computer…
After that I can extract and copy it to Google Drive. Also I have setup the folder to backup to ‘available offline’.
Side note
One important piece for my backup is the phone recordings. I have over 1000 files over the time.
After that I deleted them in my phone because copying/extracting them takes a long time…
But I discovered one manually recorded audio. It’s a ‘work transfer’ before I leaving a previous job.
I recalled Open AI whisper, so I tried it, but it have zero percent success rate on Chinese voices…also maybe the recording quality is bad.
